Doctors advice on timing the ovulation dates with the intercourse to increase the chances of fertilization. The fertility period lasts for only six days in a month: the day of ovulation and the five days prior to it.
The chances of fertilization depend on the eggs released from the woman’s ovaries as well as the man’s sperm count. Hence, equal emphasis should be laid on women and men when it comes to fertilization.
